Getting around
Ferries are the most relaxing way to travel between towns in season. SITA buses are cheap but can be crowded. Driving is stressful and parking is scarce and expensive; many visitors hire drivers instead.

Expensive in summer, particularly Positano. Staying in Sorrento or smaller villages like Minori or Atrani saves money.

Pack comfortable shoes — there are many steps.
Book ferry and boat trips early in high season.
Try sfogliatella pastries and anything made with local lemons.
